DYNAMITE CHILI PEPPERS (Siling Berde)

My family loves spicy food. More pepper, the better. Why not cook the pepper itself? Lol! There are other versions of this. Some use cheese, I prefer to use ground meat since it's going to be one the main courses for lunch.
I first tried this at Looseleaf Tea House near Dominican College San Juan with my beautiful mommy friends Rem,Vivien and Orchids. Not in the picture are Jenny; and the only thorn among the roses, Billy. :)
I checked our stocks and good! I have the ingredients needed to whip it up!

DYNAMITE CHILI PEPPERS (SILING BERDE)
Ingredients:
Ground pork mixture:
- 1/4 kilo or 250 grams ground pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 6 pieces small red chile peppers (siling labuyo) chopped
- spring onions, chopped.
- salt, ground pepper,MSG (optional), chili powder
- 1 carrot, chopped
Peppers and wrappers:
- 1 pack of green chili peppers or banana peppers (about 15 pieces)
- Small Lumpia wrappers
- water for sealing the wrappers
Let's cook!
- Heat oil in skillet or pan.
- Saute garlic, then onion.
- Add the ground pork and mix together.
- Season to taste.
- Add carrots.
- When cooked, set aside.
- Wash the chili peppers.
- Make a slit on each and remove the seeds.
- Spoon the ground meat mixture.
- Wrap with lumpia wrapper and seal with water.
- Deep-fry.
- For the dip: Mix 1 cup mayonnaise with 3 TBSP catsup.
- Transfer and arrange in a serving platter. Done!
This can also be a yummy appetizer.
