DALAGANG BUKID WITH MAYO AND TOASTED GARLIC

April 8, 2014                                                                                                                    3:00 PM

For lunch last Sunday, Chicken Afritada and Dalagang Bukid with mayo and fried garlic was our menu. I bought a big dalagang bukid at the SM Clark grocery for the recipe I will share with you. The picture is not that pretty but I assure you it tastes so good!

DALAGANG BUKID with MAYO and TOASTED GARLIC

Ingredients:
  • 1 large Dalagang Bukid (Yellow tail fusilier)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup toasted garlic
  • salt, pepper
  • (optional) you may also rub with Maggi magic sarap or MSG)

How to do it:

  • Wash the fish well and make slits.
  • Rub with salt and pepper.
  • Fry in HOT oil.
  • Transfer to a serving platter. Cool.
  • Put mayonnaise liberally.
  • Add the toasted garlic.
  • Done!

This could also be a yummy "pulutan." When one side of the dish has been eaten, just turn the other side, put mayo and sprinkle with toasted garlic again. I suggest you make 2 or 3 of this when there's an occasion because it disappears fast on the table! :D
