WHERE TO EAT: MAR'S RESTAURANT AND GARDEN
March 31, 2014
After checking out the new school where the kids will transfer this coming school year, we realized it was lunch time. I was craving for Chinese food so my son,Carl, drove around to look for a Chinese resto. I was the one who spotted Mar's Restaurant and Garden. The signage had Chinese writings so, I guess it must be Chinese (lol)! It is located in Balibago, Angeles City,Pampanga.

The staff informed us that one of the very first Chinese restaurants in Angeles City, Pampanga. The resto is a bit old, but well-maintained.
We always order fried rice. Never without it. We also ordered Pepper Spare ribs, Soy Chicken with ham, Shakr's fin dumplings for Kim who is still on diet. Karylle, as usual, wanted plain rice only :)
Soy Chicken with Ham
Pepper Spare ribs
Shark's Fin Dumplings
Food was flavorful and they gave big servings. My basis always when dining at Chinese restos is the fried rice. The fried rice tasted good, but the ingredients were not mixed well, and there were still clumps of rice. Oh, well, as I've said, it tasted good, anyway. Spare ribs was yummy. I was expecting Soy chicken with ham to be fried, but it was served with vegetables and with sauce. My son ordered chicken feet for his appetizer,(he usually does) but they didn't have it in their menu.
Prices ranged from P250 up. Reasonable. The staff were pleasant. Free parking.
Would I go back? Well, yes :)
