Where to Eat, dine and have fun! CLARK, PAMPANGA: a.c. RUMPA, Angeles City

2:45 PM; March 14, 2014

Aside from cooking, my family and I love to dine out and try what every restaurant has to offer. We have gone the rounds here, trying and testing the different restaurants and dining places.Yesterday, March 13, my son,Carl, treated us to a late lunch at  a steakhouse and American restaurant, a.c. Rumpa. It is at 1037 Surla St., Balibago,Angeles City, Clark, Pampanga.

Curious about the name, I asked and was told that a.c. Rumpa stands for Angeles City Reserved US Miltary Personnel Association. Nice, I thought it stood for a drum sound like "rumpa rumpa rumpadeedo!" Lol! Shhhh...

Let me take you to a tour of this dining place...

a.c. Rumpa has a Spanish-American design and ambience. Before entering the dining area, there is a patio-like area where you can relax and smoke. Inside, the place is cozy. The tables on the sides, make it a bit informal. There is a blackboard (similar to cafes in Korea) with the special for the day. They have a big vacant lot across for parking. Plus point!

This is a steakhouse. They have ribs, barbecues, burgers. Carl. Kim and I had Porterhouse Steaks. Our helper had American burger.

Our Porterhouse steaks with steamed veggies and mashed potatoes topped with gravy tasted good. One thing though, I expected a thicker slab "wink." Well, probably for P235 each, that was reasonable. Last Valentine's day, Carl and Kim had dinner here and they brought home Tenderloin Steak for me.

The service was good. We did not wait long for the food to be served. Good place to eat when you're here in Clark. Mark the place!
